How can we help?

Email us about Heat Planner Pro or Heat Window. Include the app version, iPhone/iPad model, iOS version, what you tried and the error message. Screenshots are optional; remove location and other personal details first. Never send your Apple password, payment-card details or API keys.

Restore Purchases

Open Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases, or use Restore Purchases on the Pro paywall. Connect to the internet and use the purchasing Apple Account. Wait for the current operation’s result; if it fails, retry. Restoration does not recover saved plans from another device.

Why can’t I refresh my Preview?

Preview is one real 12-hour snapshot for one place and one successful two-start comparison, not a recurring free forecast. It includes no refresh, replacement snapshot or new saved plan. After two hours, the snapshot is too old for a new comparison. Failed initial fetches and comparisons do not spend the allowance. You can still explore the offline sample and read a retained result.

Weather is unavailable or looks old

Check your connection and the retrieval timestamp. Forecast refresh can reuse a response cached for 30 minutes; manual refresh has a five-minute cooldown. The app will not create comparisons from data older than two hours. Missing values, location coverage, rate limits and provider outages can prevent a forecast. Keep the sample label in mind: sample data are illustrative, not current conditions.

Why is heat index unavailable?

Heat index is calculated only when temperature and humidity meet the method’s valid range. A missing heat index is not a zero reading or an indication of safety. Wet-bulb estimates and air temperature are different measures; the app labels the measure used for each comparison. Numerical WBGT is not included.

Move or delete your local records

Use Settings → Data and privacy → Export raw backup before changing devices. Keep the JSON file somewhere you control. Import and replace local data validates a backup before replacement; review the confirmation carefully. Existing records remain readable and exportable without Pro. Delete local data removes local records and pending reminders but retains the one-time Preview-use record. Exports outside the app must be deleted separately.

Reminders and permissions

Enable Notifications for Heat Planner Pro in iOS Settings and check Focus settings. Pro supports up to 20 pending local reminders. These remind you to recheck a saved plan; they do not detect changing weather or official alerts. Your saved-place time zone is used for planning. An already scheduled reminder may arrive after expiry before the app next reconciles it.

Cancel a subscription or request a refund

Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select the subscription and manage or cancel it there. Deleting the app does not cancel renewal. For Apple-billed purchase refunds, use Apple’s refund request service. Eligibility is determined under Apple’s rules and applicable consumer protections.

Weather sources and limitations

Forecast data are provided through Open-Meteo; place search uses GeoNames data through Open-Meteo. Heat index and activity-window summaries are calculated by the app. Forecasts are estimates and cannot guarantee safe outdoor conditions. Consult official local guidance separately.
