With your permission, SiftKind reads the contacts available through the iPhone Contacts database to compare records. Supported fields can include names, labeled numbers and emails, addresses, dates, relationships, social and messaging profiles, portraits, organization details and notes where Apple permits access.
Matching happens on your device. We do not upload contact content, recovery archives, or source fingerprints to our servers, RevenueCat, Sentry, or an AI service. SiftKind has no separate account login or contact-sync backend.
Accounts already configured in iOS, such as iCloud, may sync Contacts changes according to their own settings and policies. Limited permission restricts the app to selected contacts. You can change permission in iPhone Settings.
Contact indexes, protection decisions, operation journals and recovery snapshots are stored in protected app storage. Local recovery and indexes are excluded from automatic device/cloud backup. Recovery snapshots remain until you explicitly delete them; clearing the scan cache does not delete recovery or replenish free usage.
The app stores a device-local free-usage marker in Keychain. Encrypted recovery exports use authenticated encryption and a generated recovery key that you must keep separately. A lost key cannot be recovered by us. Anyone holding both the file and key can read the exported contacts.
Deleting the app or losing the device may remove local recovery. Exported copies remain wherever you save them and follow the destination provider’s policies. Importing a recovery file does not itself change Contacts.
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and purchase, entitlement and renewal information to manage Pro access, along with technical information required by its SDK. We do not receive your payment card details.
Sentry receives limited crash/error diagnostics such as app build, OS/device information, stack traces and fixed error categories. The app disables session replay, screenshots, view hierarchy, performance tracing and automatic breadcrumbs. Contact content and raw error messages are excluded from app diagnostic events.
These providers may process data outside your country. Their own policies and our service arrangements govern processing and retention. We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your contact data. Purchase processing and diagnostics are used to provide access and maintain reliability, not to build advertising profiles.
If you email support, we receive your email address and the content you choose to send. Send only the information needed to resolve the issue; do not send contact records, recovery archives or recovery keys. Request access, correction or deletion of support information through [email protected]. Legal purchase-record retention obligations may apply.
We update the date on this page when this notice changes. Review the policy again after app updates that introduce new data flows.
