Farrier Logbook Pro is a local-first logbook for farriers. The clients, barns, horses, visit records, hoof observations, payments and photos you enter are stored on your device. We do not receive them, and they are not uploaded to us or to any third party.
You do not need an account to use the app.

The following is created by you and held only in the app's local database and local file storage. It is included in device backups you choose to make, and in any JSON, CSV or ZIP export you generate yourself.
We never receive any of it. Generating a Service Summary PDF happens entirely on your device; sharing that summary is your action, through the iOS share sheet, to a destination you choose.
To sell subscriptions and to send notifications, the app uses a small number of third-party processors. These receive technical identifiers, not your business records.
The app also uses LaunchDarkly for remote configuration and feature flags, and Sentry to receive filtered crash and error diagnostics. Crash diagnostics are configured to exclude your customer records, hoof observations, notes, photos and generated summaries; screen attachments and view-hierarchy capture are disabled. Reminders about upcoming or overdue visits are scheduled locally by iOS and do not require any of this.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract, to provide the app and manage your subscription; legitimate interests, to keep the app secure and working; and consent, for notifications and photo access, which you may withdraw at any time in iOS Settings.
Where you record information about your own clients and their horses, you are the controller of that information and we do not process it.
Records you create stay on your device until you delete them or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local database and stored photos. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained for as long as needed for billing, tax and audit purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because your business records never leave your device, you already have direct control over them: you can edit or delete any record in the app, and export everything as JSON, CSV or a ZIP backup.
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The app is a professional tool rated 4+ and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your records are protected by the security of your device, including the device passcode and iOS file protection. Keep your device locked and updated. A backup or export file you create contains business records in readable form — store it somewhere secure.
The app is a recordkeeping tool. Hoof observations and photo comparisons you enter are your own notes; the app does not diagnose, does not provide treatment advice and does not determine whether any work meets a standard or requirement. Those judgements remain yours and are governed by your own training and local requirements.
We will update this page if our practices change and will revise the effective date below. Effective 8 September 2026.
